Learn how to connect to your Minecraft server files with FileZilla, upload mods and plugins, and manage your files safely — even if you've never used SFTP before.
FileZilla is a free file transfer application that allows you to connect to servers using SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol). You can upload plugins, mods, worlds, and configuration files through an easy drag-and-drop interface.
Download FileZilla Client from the official website:
Install FileZilla normally and launch the application once installation is complete.
Inside your Tick Hosting panel you'll find SFTP details:
Server Address: sftp://node-it-01.tickhosting.com:2022
Username: username.serverid
Password: Account password
At the top of FileZilla you'll see the Quick Connect bar. Fill in:
Press Quickconnect.
Drag files from left to right to upload them.
To upload files:
Common Minecraft folders:
mods/ → Upload mods
plugins/ → Upload plugins
world/ → Upload worlds
config/ → Configuration files
You can now upload mods, install plugins, edit server files, and manage your Minecraft server quickly and securely.
